About Jesus!

*please remember that I did not mean to offend anyone with this. This is just a page stating my beliefs*

Hey! I just wanted to use this page in my website to tell you about who I live for, who gave me life, and who loves me more than anyone ever could. Jesus is the center of my life and I want to tell you how He could be the center of your life, too. Before I begin, I just want to tell you that I'm not trying to preach to you. I'm sure that some people that are reading this are thinking something like "why does Christie want to tell us about this on a Weird Al fansite?" Well, to answer the question, we all have a sense of humor. I believe since God made us all in His image (Genesis 1:26), He must have one too. He also gave us the ability to make music. He created some people with the desire to put humor and music together. Because of this, I think God deserves to be included on my site.

I want to tell you about the gift that Jesus offers to each and every one of us...the gift of salvation and eternal life. The Bible says in Romans 3:23 "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God". What this is saying here is that no one's perfect. Not you, not me, not Justin Timberlake. NOBODY. Everyone sins and will keep sinning. Whether you like it or not, it's part of our human nature. But then it also says in Romans 3:24-25 "they are justified by His grace as a gift, through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus, whom God put forward as an expiation by his blood, to be received by faith". Now this says that by the gift of grace God is giving you, you can be blameless. You could be right with God! Being able to pray to Him without feeling separated is an awesome feeling. God gave Jesus, His Son, to pay the price for our sins so that you would be able to have a relationship with Him. The blood Jesus shed on the cross washes away all the stains sin made in our lives. The only way we can get this spiritual cleansing is by faith. We can not receive God's gift by going to church, doing good things, being baptized, etc. The book of Romans goes on to say in verses 27-28 "Then what becomes of our boasting? It is excluded. On what principle? On the principle of works? No, but on the principle of faith. For we hold that a man is justified by faith apart from works of law." So all this verse is really saying is that there's no reason to be prideful that you are right with God and that you can't be saved by works. The reason for the verse saying that you shouldn't be boastful about your relationship with God is because it says He doesn't make us right with Him because of the things we've done. He makes us right with Him because we believe. You can only be saved by faith in God and all that He has done for you. So your question may be "why did God sacrifice His Son in the first place?" Answer: He loves you. John 3:16 says "For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life." God loves us (the world) so much that He sent Jesus here to die...so that we wouldn't have to. All of us will have a physical death. That's what Jesus had. But because Jesus was sacrificed on that cross and conquered death by rising again three days after His death, we have a chance to accept God's gift of grace so that we don't die a spiritual death and go to hell with Satan. We can live in heaven forever with God! That's really, really awesome!

Whether you accept God's free gift of salvation or not is your choice. No one else can ever make that choice for you. I accepted God's gift when I was 8 years old. Believe me, accepting God's gift of grace is something you'll never regret. Sure, there are times when I get made fun of for what I put my faith in, but that only makes me want to love God more. "Blessed are you when men revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so men persecuted the prophets who were before you." (Matthew 5:11-12)

If you would like to receive God's gift, you could pray this prayer if you're not sure what to say. God loves you no matter how old you are, what country you're from, or what sins you've commited so pray whole-heartedly that you would like to accept His gift of grace if you don't want to pray the prayer below. You may not see God, but He hears you. I promise!

God, I'm sorry for every bad thing I've done in my life. I have faith that You love me and want me to receive Your gift of salvation and grace. Please help me to live my life for You, God. I accept Your gift of mercy and I thank You for loving me so much that You would sacrifice Your own Son so that I could live in heaven for eternity with You. Thank you for saving me. In Your name I pray, Amen.
